PUR CR-6000 2 Stage Oval Water Pitcher

I purchased the PUR CR-6000 2 Stage Oval Water Pitcher recently and have a few opposing opinions overall about the product.

The pitcher itself is rather small, but works great for me as it fits better in my over-crowded fridge. The downside about the size, however, is that it needs to be refilled almost every time I have a drink.


The flavor options are great, but to make the taste noticeable, you have to give it more than one pump of the flavor, thus making that '75 serving' cartridge that costs around $8 end up being more like half or one-third of that amount. Although these can be found in 2-packs for cheaper sometimes. I did find a 2-pack for $8.99 for the strawberry from Amazon.com. PUR FC-500S Flavor Cartridge - Strawberry (2-Pack). Although, the 2-pack for the raspberry flavor seems to be about $14.99, so do your research.


I would say the overall rating would be a 6/10 for this product. The size of the pitcher is its greatest advantage. The downside, as mentioned above, is having to refill the pitcher every time you have a drink due to the small capacity. The flavor options, once modified by PUR to compensate for the usage, are a bit disappointing. I would like to see the Flavor Options replacements at a lower price point to keep me buying them. Possibly better options for purchasing in bulk at a more affordable price would be the tipping point in me buying the refills.
